These days it can seem like there are 100s of amazing products that are people’s holy grails, so choosing the right the amount of products can be difficult.
It’s hard to say when I first started taking skincare seriously, but now I can’t imagine not starting the day with my skincare routine! So, I wanted to share my routine as I truly see it as manageable and not too time-consuming. Even on the days I’m running late for work, I always find time for these six products.
So… let’s talk skin!
First things first is cleansing!

I’m currently using Byoma’s Creamy Jelly Cleanser which has been great at combatting my dry skin. This cleanser comes out of the pump as a jelly but when mixed with water, quickly transforms into a creamy soap which feels really good on the skin.
Priced at 9.99, the cleanser has lasted me so much long than I thought so I would definitely repurchase. I really like that Byoma highlight each ingredient and label its function as it makes me feel like I’m buying more consciously and understand what I’m actually putting on my face.
Followed by toner…

After hearing that hyaluronic acid hydrates and adds an elasticity to the skin, I was eager to introduce it into my routine. Several months ago, I stumbled across an offer for this L’Oréal toner, so bought it and have been using it consistently.
While it does what says on the bottle, it is priced at £7.99 and L’Oréal has been investing in international genocides, so I will not be re-purchasing… however, I am excited to be trying out Liz Earle’s Instant Boost Skin Tonic.
Topped with a serum (or two)

I think vitamin C has been really great for my skin and its brought a much needed glow! While I bought this serum on offer with the toner, its original price of £31.99 is quite high so I’m reluctant to repurchase especially because of their investments.
I have, on the other hand, heard lots of great things about Beauty Pie’s Triple Hyaluronic Acid serum so will be giving that a try!
Followed with moisturiser:

I can have really dry skin and was skeptical of this product as it has a thinner consistency than what I’m used to but I was pleasantly surprised! This moisturiser is hydrating and has lasted me about a year and a half, so I would 100% repurchase this product.
Priced at £45, this moisturiser is quite expensive, however I bought it in an outlet store so can better justify the price. As you can tell, I often fall in the trap of discounts and offers, so I recently bought Laneige’s Radian-C Cream on offer to try as my Clinique moisturiser is finishing. I’m eager to try it as I’ve heard many good things about Laneige!
Polishing it all off with SPF

I’ve been using this SPF for a few years, and it works well with my skin! Again the consistency is quite runny which is ideal for my skin type. I like that it doesn’t have much of a white cast and also protects my skin against pollution!
Retailed at £22, and available to buy on other sites like Amazon for cheaper, I would consider this a must-have product!
One last thing!

Love, love, love this lip balm! It’s perfect for daily use, isn’t sticky and heals my lips.
There you go! I truly believe that skincare routines don’t have to be more complicated than these few steps. I rarely find myself using masks or any other extra things, and I prefer sticking to products that I have especially bought for a specific purpose.
